Beginning her art career at the age of 16, Elyse had her paintings shown in the Towson Arts Collective for the first time. From there on, she was accepted into the Maryland Institute College of Art, attended the Baltimore Academy of Illustration, and began studying the art of book illustration and conceptual building. By the age of 18, she had her first exhibition at the Patterson Park Theatre in Baltimore, MD hosted by the Creative Alliance of Baltimore and "Pancakes & Booze," a traveling pop up show accepting artists on application base only.
Only a year later, Elyse would continue to pursue her fine art career with the next exhibit sponsored by the Brookshire Hotel of Baltimore, MD, in 2015.
After taking a two year hiatus due to health and the mundane 'work' world, Elyse would return to the art community by beginning a tattoo apprenticeship in November of 2017, and continuing shortly with her fourth gallery showing, and first solo exhibition, at Charmed Life Gallery on January 5th, 2018.
Continuing the transition from fine art to tattoo world, Elyse spent a few months as an apprentice at Idle Hands Tattoo Emporium, with her first tattoo done on March 25th, 2018. As of April 2021, Elyse has gone on to own part of the same shop that she established her career in, and will continue to hold Idle Hands in her heart.
